»For us, ahc’s strength lay in its support for the professional management of a complex collaborative project. Transparency regarding project content, robust reporting, and rigorous maturity management contributed significantly to the project’s success.«

Tobias Schädel, Mercedes-Benz, Strategischer Projektleiter 8f-eDCT und eATS

“With the development of a highly efficient 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with integrated hybrid functionality, Mercedes-Benz AG has realised a key component in the transformation of the powertrain and the further electrification of future vehicle platforms. The focus was on both improving efficiency and a consistent commitment to achieving CO₂ targets.

In this demanding environment, ahc took on the role of deputy strategic project manager and was responsible for key elements of the structured management of the development partnership. These included, in particular, maturity level management, quality gate reporting, schedule and cost control, reporting, the facilitation of key milestone meetings, as well as change management and the further development of the project organisation.

Particularly challenging was the transition from a development project originally launched in-house to a collaborative development and production partnership with an external partner. This hybrid project structure required the re-establishment of governance, clear role definitions, and robust coordination and decision-making processes across organisational boundaries.

ahc ensured that interfaces between the OEM and the development partner were effectively managed, transparent reporting structures were established, and consistent controllability was guaranteed across all project phases. At the same time, audit and revision integrity, as well as consistent maturity level and change management, were embedded as central control instruments.

In this way, ahc made a decisive contribution to the successful organisational, methodological and operational delivery of the complex development partnership — and laid the foundation for a stable series integration.”
