At SEW-EURODRIVE, the product discontinuation process has been further developed to ensure that all product types are handled systematically and consistently across the globe. The aim is to achieve transparent, predictable management of product discontinuations across sites and departments.

At SEW-EURODRIVE, ahc GmbH is supporting the further development of the product discontinuation process and is responsible for project management and the coordination of several sub-projects. The aim is to close existing gaps in the process and enable a standardised, cross-product workflow.
The starting point is an analysis of the existing process, which does not reliably cover all product types and requires adjustments in individual system and process steps.
We conduct structured interviews with relevant stakeholders, identify specific areas requiring action and translate these into clearly defined sub-projects. On this basis, we develop a coordinated action plan and establish a robust project structure to enable parallel work across different departments.
Going forward, we manage cross-departmental coordination and oversee all workstreams across the sub-projects. This includes the structured preparation of results for the steering committee, the targeted escalation of issues, and the consistent follow-up of agreed measures.
The structures developed are designed for a global rollout and lay the foundation for the transparent and reliable management of product discontinuations within a complex, internationally organised company.
